Tactical machetes

The various combat scenarios in which the military find themselves can influence the type of knife that is required. For example, in a jungle or forest, the machete is essential, as it cuts down the undergrowth allowing a safe route through as well as being used as a weapon for both attacking and defending. There are several different types of machetes in existence after being developed in many of the most remote locations on the continents of South America, Asia and Africa. Probably the best known examples of the various machetes available are the Bolomachete, the Kukri and the Panga.
