It is made from top-quality materials and is a worthy carrier of the number 110. The Buck 110 in its original form has been Buck's flagship since the 60s. The handle was originally made with brass and wood, but this 110 Slim Pro TRX has a titanium handle with copper-coloured hardware. This is a strong and somewhat heavier material that has a luxurious look. The handy pocket clip is a nice addition - it can be placed for both left-handed and right-handed use.

Another great thing about the Buck 110 Slim Pro TRX is that the steel has been upgraded. The blade is made from CPM S45VN steel. This steel grade is more corrosion resistant than its predecessor S35VN due to an increased amount of chromium. It retains its sharpness longer and has a hardness of 61-62 instead of 59-60 of the previously used S35VN steel. Buck is known for their heat treatment of steel. Paul Bos pioneered the creation of this process.

You open the Buck 110 Slim Pro TRX with one hand. Because the thumb studs are placed on both sides of the blade it is great for best left and right-handed use. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a solid back lock. The locking mechanism that Buck in fact introduced to the world.
