With Shun Nagare, kai has created yet another innovative masterpiece of Japanese cutlery. Thanks to itsdesign, the special properties of its materials and its technically and its technically complex production process, this series of knives is in a class of absolute luxury.

The high-gloss polished steel feature the decorative lightning bolt motif of the damascened layers is visible on the high-gloss polished blades.
This finish, in combination with the mottled dark grey handle, gives the knife an impressive overall appearance.

The blades of the series are made of two different types of steel, bonded together in 72 layers of Damascus steel to makes it possible to obtain a blade with an exceptional cutting.

The complex interlayering of the two types of steel results in a blade with an exceptionally durable cutting capacity. The series received a special mention at the German Design Award 2017.
