The kukri or khukuri is a large, curved Nepalese knife, used as a tool and also as a weapon. It is also part of the regimental armory and the Gurkha fighters' coat of arms.
The origin of the kukri is unknown, although it has been proposed that it could come from an ancient Hindu saber called nistrimsa (निस्त्रिंश), which in turn would come from the Greek kopis brought by the forces of Alexander the Great.5
The kukri was the weapon used by the Gurkha in the Anglo-Nepalese War, as well as in World War I and World War II.
The Kukri Knife 31085 has the pommel in bronze helmet of the same color as the guard, the handle is white with a black drawing. The total size is 35cm and the blade is made of steel. The scabbard is black with bronze details. This version has been designed for collectors looking for a high quality collector's machete knife at a low price.
