The OSI is a very sturdy, single edged version of Cold Steel OSS. Flat ground to a thin, ultra-keen edge, it too is an awesome sticker and will cut and slash with equal aplomb! Extensively field tested by Cold Steel President, Lynn C. Thompson, it has field dressed, skinned and "broken up" dozens and dozens of animals from wild boar to buffalo and proved to be outstandingly efficient field knife. It's also ideal for use in countries or localities that prohibit or restrict double edge knifes.

The Cold Steel OSI 39LSSS is a long fixed knife. Cold Steel designed this knife for soldiers and hunters. So no, not a childish knife. The handle is enhanced with 'sub-hilt'. A sort of second knife guard on the handle which falls in between your index and middle finger. As such you will always have enough grip.

The blade is made from AUS8A steel. Japanese steel, stainless and easy to sharpen. The handle is made from Kray-Ex. A solid plastic that can handle its own. It is also light-weight, which means that the knife only weighs 240 grams, at a total length of 34.0 cm.

It comes with a solid Secure-Ex sheath that is great for left and right-handed use.
